I’d recommend combining the cancellation/pause information into your first Refund Policy article since that’s where you already explain the cancellation process and timeline. Here’s why:
- The refund article is where people naturally look when they want to cancel (they often want to know “can I get my money back?”)
- You’ve already established the 5-day notice requirement there
- It keeps all subscription management info in one place
However, you should also create a separate “How to Cancel or Pause Your Subscription” article for people who search specifically for “cancel account” or “pause subscription.” This article can be more detailed about the actual process.
Here’s how I’d structure it:
How to Cancel or Pause Your Subscription #
Managing your subscription is easy and can be done directly from your account dashboard. Before making any changes, please review the important information below about cancellation timelines and the difference between pausing and canceling.
Pause vs. Cancel: What’s the Difference? #
Pause: Temporarily suspends your billing while keeping all your account settings, preferences, and history intact. You can resume your subscription at any time. This is the recommended option if you think you might want to return later.
Cancel: Permanently ends your subscription and billing. You can always resubscribe in the future, but you’ll need to set up your account again.
How to Pause or Cancel Your Subscription #
Step 1: Log in to your Tech Trader account
Step 2: Click Subscriptions in the left navigation menu
Step 3: Locate the Actions column on the right side of your subscription details
Step 4: Click the icon or button under Actions
Step 5: Depending on your account setup, you’ll either:
- Be able to select Pause or Cancel directly from the menu options, or
- Be prompted to complete a request form that will be processed by our team
Your changes will be processed according to the timeline above, and you’ll receive a confirmation once complete.
Annual & Quarterly Subscriptions #
Annual and quarterly subscriptions are paid in advance and receive significant discounts. These subscriptions are non-refundable but can still be canceled or paused following the same 5-day notice requirement to prevent the next billing cycle.
