The User Profile is where you’ll enter the personal details that make your Tech Trader account uniquely yours. This article will walk you through all of the options available on your Tech Trader User profile.
Profile Overview #
When you first open up the Tech Trader, you will land on your public profile. From this page, you can navigate to several other important places in relation to your account.
To get to your own User profile so that you can update your informatio, click the profile icon in the top right corner and choose Manage Account, or from the Profile Page, select Manage Account.
From here, you can access the Edit Profile tab and begin filling out your information, such as your bio, set your chat handle, and even update your account email and information.
First & Last Name
This is the name that will be associated with your account. No one can access this information but you.
Email
This is your primary email address for The Tech Trader, and the email address you use to log in to The Tech Trader
Alternate Email
Enter any other email address that you want The Tech Trader to treat as emails from you here. You cannot use those to log in to The Tech Trader.
Phone Number
Adding a phone number to your account will allow our support team to get in contact quickly, and help resolve any issues that may arise. We are also actively working on SMS updates for trade alerts. Once released, you will need to have your phone number entered here.
Biography
Let other members know more about you, how long you’ve been trading, and build relationships with other traders on the site. Any text entered here will show to all members on your main profile page.
Chat Handle
In order to participate in the Trader Chatroom, you must first set a username. Once you enter your desired chat handle, our system will let you know whether or not that name is available or already taken by another member.
Post Sound
Give the community a fun alert each time you post by setting your own post sound.
Once you’ve finished adding your bio, chat handle, and making any other updates to your profile, make sure to click Update to save your changes.
